CLIENT SITUATION

Solo’s Park & Pub — a combination restaurant, bar and off-leash dog park — unveiled its first location in Oklahoma City’s Chisholm Creek in spring 2021. Company founders needed to prepare marketing materials and key messaging before announcing the opening to the media.

PLANNING & EXECUTION

When a reporter prematurely got wind Solo’s Park & Pub was coming to OKC, Candor successfully held off the story until the appropriate time to make a public announcement. We devised a strategic communication plan to keep our client in the news from September 2020 to May 2021 with a series of well-timed announcements.
Leading up to the grand opening, Candor built social media followings for the brand, hosted and planned a ribbon-cutting, planned a VIP event and identified and communicated with the right influencers to make the grand opening a smashing success. Owners relied on our team for business consulting needs, including creating an FAQ document, providing guidance on menu pricing and dog park rules, advising on advertising opportunities and even coordinating collateral updates when the brand had to change its name at the last minute.
